The Department published the NHS Choice Framework 2014 on 1 April 2014. A copy has been placed in the Library. The Department has been working with NHS England and other partners and stakeholders to develop supporting guidance for the National Health Service. A consultation on this will commence shortly and final guidance will be published in the summer. The Department and NHS England will continue to work with partners and stakeholders to ensure that the extended rights to choice in mental health are fully embedded by 2015 as set out in the NHS Mandate.
