answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 11/12/2018 answer text <p>A) Since becoming the Minister for Women and Equalities in April this year, The Minister has had one introductory meeting with Stonewall to discuss LGBT policy, and one meeting with The Founder of a Women’s Place.</p><p>B) Since beginning its consultation engagement work in September 2017, the Gender Recognition Act (GRA) consultation team have met with the named organisations on the following number of occasions:</p><p>i. Mermaids: once</p><p>ii. Stonewall: four times</p><p>iii. Gendered Intelligence (GI): three times</p><p>iv. Transgender Trend: twice</p><p>v. Fair Play For Women (FPFW): twice</p><p>vi. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 10/12/2018 answer text <p>The Government recognises the importance of publishing guidance under Section 49 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 on the identification of and sup-port for potential victims of modern slavery.</p><p><br>There is no duty to consult on the s49 statutory guidance, and as such, there are no plans for a public consultation at this time. However, the Home Office began working closely with stakeholders across the sector to draft guidance shortly after commencement of the Act. This work was paused to accommo-date changes to identification and support as part of the reforms to the Na-tional Referral Mechanism. We have supported the formation of the National County Lines Co-ordination Centre to provide a greater law enforcement focus on county lines. We also keep the situation under regular review through the annual reports on county lines that we commission from the National Crime Agency. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 11/12/2018 answer text <p>On 3 December, the Minister for Women and Equalities launched the £250,000 EnAble Fund for Elected Office to support disabled candidates, primarily for the forthcoming English local elections in 2019.</p><p>This is an interim fund while the Government undertakes a programme of work with disability stakeholders to help major and smaller political parties better support disabled candidates. Disability Rights UK, the largest pan-disability organisation in the UK, supported by the Local Government Association, will deliver the fund.</p><p>The EnAble Fund is now open for candidates to apply and political parties have been notified. The Government is clear that we will not tolerate a practice that can cause extreme and lifelong suffering to women and girls.</p><p>Data on FGM includes a 2015 City University and Equality Now study, part funded by the Home Office, which estimated that 137,000 women and girls who had migrated to England and Wales were living with the consequences of FGM, and approximately 60,000 girls aged 0-14 were born in England and Wales to mothers who had undergone FGM. The study also provides a breakdown of FGM prevalence estimates by local authority area which is available online at <a href="http://openaccess.city.ac.uk/12382/%20" target="_blank">http://openaccess.city.ac.uk/12382/</a>.</p><p>In addition, NHS Digital publishes data on the prevalence of FGM within the NHS in England. The most recent quarterly statistics were published in September 2018. A detailed breakdown of these statistics, including by local authority and age, is available online at <a href="https://digital.nhs.uk/data-and-information/publications/statistical/female-genital-mutilation.%20" target="_blank">https://digital.nhs.uk/data-and-information/publications/statistical/female-genital-mutilation.</a></p><p> </p><p>To improve understanding of the prevalence of so-called ‘Honour Based Violence’ including FGM, we amended the police Annual Data Requirement (ADR) to allow police forces the opportunity from April 2018 to record on a voluntary basis where a crime has been committed in the context of preserving the ‘honour’ of a family or community.
