answer text <p>In October 2022 (latest workforce figures) the number of staff employed in my Department was 9464. In February 2020 the number of staff employed in my Department was 7960.</p><p>Most of the increase here (84%) is the result of the transfer of staff and functions into the Cabinet Office from other Government Departments under machinery of government changes.</p><p>As part of this Government’s commitment to transparency, my Department publishes workforce statistics each month.
