answer text <p>National Highways, who manage the emergency salt reserves on the Department's behalf, estimate that on 01 October 2023 and 11 December 2023 it held 252,387 tonnes of salt in the strategic reserve maintained for the Department and 90,400 tonnes in its own strategic reserve. This is in comparison to an estimated 254,078 tonnes in the Department’s strategic reserve and 92,554 in National Highways strategic reserve on 01 October 2022.</p><p> </p> more like this

answer text <p>Since 1 January 2021, Litigation Group has continued to provide litigation services to the majority of government departments, including the Department for Work and Pensions, and executive agencies, as well as many non-departmental public bodies.</p><p> </p><p>The Group’s work encompasses litigation in public and private law as well as supporting public inquiries and acting in Inquests. This has involved, amongst other things, attending in a wide range of courts, including Coroners’ Courts, the Asylum and Immigration Tribunal, the Royal Courts of Justice and the Supreme Court.
