answer text <p><del class="ministerial">Government has committed £40 million in projects to support innovation in wireless and on-street electric vehicle charging technology.</del></p><p> </p><p><del class="ministerial">£10 million of this investment is supporting the trial of wireless charging technologies for taxis in Nottingham, enabling drivers to “top-up” charge while waiting for their next fare. answer text <p>We look carefully at long-term travel statistics when planning future transport needs. Whilst it is important to examine the period of the pandemic when doing so, it is also important to bear in mind that, for most people, travel then was very different to that in normal times.</p><p> </p><p>The Government continues to support active travel and has invested unprecedented sums in walking and cycling since the start of the pandemic. In London, this is a matter for the Mayor, and the Department’s recent funding settlement with Transport for London will enable it to continue to invest in improving London's streets by investing over £80 million per year in schemes to enable more walking and cycling.</p><p> </p> more like this

Widespread and prolonged air traffic disruption accounted for 399 of these dispensations; emergencies, with an immediate danger to life or health accounted for 8 dispensations; and delays likely to lead to serious airfield or terminal congestion accounted for 2 dispensations.</p><p>Over the same period, one dispensation was given by the Secretary of State under Section 78(5)(f) of the Civil Aviation Act 1982.</p><p>Heathrow Airport Limited publishes night flight dispensations data in its quarterly Night Flight Report.</p><p>The Government publishes guidance for airport managers on eligibility for dispensations, and any dispensations must be notified to the Department within seven days.</p> more like this

answer text <p>We maintain a productive dialogue with the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and EU Member States on aviation matters.</p><p>Officials at the Department for Transport and the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) have engaged in discussions with EASA in preparations for the 41st ICAO Assembly.</p><p>The Civil Aviation Authority, as the regulator for aviation safety in the UK, also has regular engagement with the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) on a range of regulatory matters, including those covered under the UK/EU Trade and Cooperation Agreement (TCA).</p><p>UK Ministers and officials at the Department for Transport have been engaging regularly with EU Member States on a range of aviation matters, including cooperation on shared priorities during the 41<sup>st</sup> ICAO Assembly, our response to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, and on areas covered under the UK/EU TCA.</p> more like this
