answer text <p>The Government wants to create a world-beating technical education system and is investing heavily to ensure that it delivers the skills that the economy needs. We will be replacing 13,000 existing technical qualifications with new qualifications, known as T-levels, across fifteen routes in subjects including Heath and Social Care, Legal, Finance and Accounting and Social Care. The Government is creating specialist National Colleges to deliver higher level specialist technical skills in priority areas such as digital skills and to support national infrastructure projects such as HS2 and the New Institutes of Technology will deliver engineering and STEM skills. The Government will ensure that colleges deliver the skills required by local businesses by setting up new Skills Advisory Panels that will work with Local Enterprise Partnerships at a regional and local level.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p><em><br> </em></p><p> </p> more like this

answer text <p>This year’s Budget committed £40 million to fund pilots that will test ambitious, new approaches to removing barriers to lifelong learning. These pilots are not funded through EU sources.</p><p>In relation to ongoing EU sources of funding, the Government has said it will consult closely with stakeholders to review such schemes in the round, to ensure that any ongoing funding commitments best serve the UK‘s national interest, while ensuring appropriate certainty. Leaving the EU means we will want to take our own decisions about how to deliver the policy objectives previously targeted by EU funding.</p><p> </p><p> </p> more like this
