<p>Responsibility for proposals to reform children’s social care is for the Department
for Education.</p><p>The Department for Education is investing to deliver high quality
children’s social care and are bringing more local services out of inadequate ratings
and delivering programmes to strengthen the social work workforce.</p><p>Alongside
this, the Government is providing councils with an additional £1 billion for adults
and children’s social care in every year of this Parliament. This is on top of investing
£84 million over five years to keep more children at home safely. The Government is
committed to undertaking a review of the care system for children and young adults.
This review will allow the Department for Education to go even further, and to ensure
that all care placements and settings provide children and young people with the support
