answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 15/10/2014 answer text <p>As at 31 August 2014 there were:</p><p> </p><ul><li>Around 616,000 cases awaiting work capability assessments at Atos Healthcare (down from 637,000 at the end of July). answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 14/10/2014 answer text <p>There is no statutory time limit for DWP to complete a request for mandatory reconsideration. We deliberately do not have one as each case will be considered on its merits. Some will require days, others will require longer, for example to gather additional evidence. We want to ensure we take the right amount of time to get the right decision. DWP statisticians are currently working to collate and quality assure data on Mandatory Reconsideration. The Department has committed to publishing statistics as soon as Departmental statisticians judge that the data meets the standards set out in the UK Statistics Authority’s Codes of Practice.
