We have undertaken an overarching review of probation, looking at the standards we set for providers and how we hold them to account. We have already made some changes to how CRCs are paid so they can focus on activities that best rehabilitate offenders and keep society safe. Our contract management teams closely monitor and robustly manage providers to make sure they fulfil their contractual commitments to maintain service delivery, reduce reoffending, protect the public and provide value for money to the taxpayer. If standards are not met, financial penalties can be applied through Service Credits. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 30/06/2017 answer text <p>The Strategic Partner Gateway (SPG) has been available since September 2016, providing secure data exchange capability between nDelius and CRCs own offender case management systems once they are ready.</p><p> </p><p>There was a delay in implementing the SPG which was originally expected to be in place in the second quarter of 2015. This was due to extra work required on technical data exchange requirements, and design changes as a result of additional business processes that had been identified.</p><p> </p><p>The CRCs do not yet have their own case management systems in service. Staff in the National Probation Service (NPS) and Community Rehabilitation Companies (CRCs) were provided with support both during and after the transition to the new probation structures.</p><p> </p><p>CRCs are responsible for the welfare of the staff they employ. All suppliers were required to outline their employee incentive offer at the bidding stage, and these have been contractualised.
