answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 13/10/2014 answer text <p>Incidents reported to the National Reporting and Learning System (NRLS) do not include information about which clinical commissioning group (CCG) commissioned the care where the incident occurred. Only the reporting organisation is included. As such, the information requested linking the incidents to CCGs is not collected or held centrally.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>The NRLS receives reports coded by level of harm. Some maternity services provide antenatal classes free of charge or at a cost through private organisations, such as the NCT (formerly known as National Childbirth Trust). National Health Service classes are generally organised and run by midwives or health visitors and take place in health centres hospitals or Sure Start Children’s Centres. A woman will need to discuss with her midwife opportunities for antenatal education in her area.</p><p> </p><p><strong> </strong></p><p> </p><p>To support providers of antenatal education, ‘Preparation for Birth and Beyond: a resource pack for leaders of community groups and activities’ was launched on 19 October 2011. The pack is aimed at anyone involved in planning or running groups for expectant or new parents, such as midwives, health visitors, children’s centre staff and voluntary organisations. HEE is responsible for ensuring a secure workforce supply for the future balancing need against demand, taking into account factors such as the age profile of the existing workforce, the impact of technology, and new drugs.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>In December 2013, HEE published its first annual workforce plan for England, covering the period 2014-15. This plan was determined through an assessment of future need by local National Health Service employers, and Local Education and Training Boards (LETBs) and used as the basis of an investment plan for England, which included community and district nursing requirements, alongside other professions.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>Working in concert with NHS healthcare providers, HEE is leading a programme of work to encourage nurses to return to practice. This work includes ensuring that the education programmes being commissioned are effective and meet the needs of patients and the NHS. The September 2010 figures provided instead were accurate and there was no intention to mislead.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>The numbers of full-time equivalent (FTE) GPs, excluding retainers and registrars, and including retainers but excluding registrars, working in the NHS in England as at September 2009, 2010 and 2013 are shown in the following table.
