answer text <p>The EU Referendum result does not affect the United Kingdom's status as a major international power. As stated in the 2015 Strategic Defence and Security Review, we remain firmly committed to strengthening our Defence relationships with our Allies, partners, and Defence industry. An important element of this is delivered through Defence procurement, but it is too early to assess the effect of the decision to leave the EU as we have not yet agreed the terms of our negotiated departure.</p> more like this

answer text <p>There are 128,550 Cadets and 28,000 Cadet Force Adult Volunteers (CFAV) at over 275 locations in the United Kingdom.</p><p>There have been no Court Martial hearings against commissioned CFAV (some of whom are subject to Service Law) in the last five years. Cadets and other CFAV are not subject to Service Law.</p><p>Disclosure and Barring Service checks are carried out on all CFAV to ensure their suitability for working with children.</p><p>Information on civilian criminal convictions is not held centrally and could be provided only at disproportionate cost.</p> more like this
