answer text <p>Defra will publish the latest annual workforce monitoring report in January 2016. The report examines the diversity of Defra’s workforce and provides evidence of how we achieve our aim of offering real equality of opportunity to all our employees.</p><br /><p>The data from this report has been used to create the table below to highlight gender breakdown by headcount. Table 1 shows staff in post as at 31 March 2015 in Defra and its Executive Agencies. answer text <p>The package of EU bass measures agreed at the December Fisheries Council included derogations and differentiated catch limits for fixed gillnets. The legislative arrangements do not include a mechanism for granting or withholding such provisions by Member States, although Member States may impose more stringent standards at national level if considered appropriate.</p><br /><p>With regard to the recommendations from the International Council for the Exploration of the Sea, I refer the hon. answer text <p>The UK Government was instrumental in ensuring that the EU Common Fisheries Policy contains a legal requirement requiring that by 2020, at the latest, fishing rates are set at levels that will deliver maximum sustainable yield (MSY).</p><br /><p>At the European Union Agriculture and Fisheries Council in December 2015, I maintained the pressure and successfully secured a 50% increase in the number of fish stocks, in which the UK has an interest, that will be fished at or below MSY levels in 2016.</p><br /><p>Stocks fished at, or below, maximum sustainable yield in 2015:</p><br /><table><tbody><tr><td><p>1. answer text <p>The tenth Ministerial Conference of the World Trade Organisation concluded with a historic deal for agriculture, specifically on export competition rules. The outcome included the elimination of export subsidies for agricultural products and disciplines on measures with equivalent effect. These standards require that fruit and vegetables which are intended to be sold fresh to the consumer may only be marketed if they are of sound, fair and marketable quality and if the country of origin is indicated.
