Defence Safety Authority Policy Document 01.1, Chapter 3, Paragraph 24 and 25 provides the reporting criteria for Health, Safety and Environmental Protection events and individual Top Level Budgets or Chief Executive equivalents should be informed by the Defence site of such Notices of Contravention. Any suicide is one too many and a tragedy for the individual, and their family and friends. Whilst we recognise this is a problem in wider society, we take the wellbeing of our Armed Forces very seriously.</p><p>Suicide data for veterans of the UK Armed Forces is not currently captured by the Government.
