answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 15/11/2018 answer text <p>As set out in their 2018 Annual Report, the Huawei Cyber Security Evaluation Centre Oversight Board noted no causes for concern in the number of staff and their skills.</p><p>GCHQ keeps up to date with the latest technology and trends in cyber security by engaging with industry, academia and nurturing the next generation of cyber security specialists. We do not hold the figure on how many Departments use these commercial providers and can only provide information for those using the NCSC offer. Of the 45 ministerial and non-ministerial departments there are 25 using, or are in the process of adopting the NCSC service. At that time, the NCSC had a team of approximately 700 people. At the end of its second year, in October 2018, the NCSC had a team of approximately 850 people. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 01/11/2018 answer text <p>The Cabinet Office does not require central Government Departments to report their personal data breaches and so does not hold this information centrally.</p><p> </p><p>In June of 2018 the Minimum Cyber Security Standards were published requiring each department to have a plan to reporting data breaches. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 30/10/2018 answer text <p>The UK benefits substantially from open trade and inward investment and is one of the foremost destinations of inward investment in the world. However, it is important that the Government considers any national security implications arising from foreign investment, such as those set out in the 2013 Intelligence and Security Committee report, ‘Foreign Involvement in the Critical National Infrastructure – the Implications of National Security’.</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p>The Government is therefore taking steps to ensure it has adequate powers to mitigate risks that may arise from such investments. In particular, the ‘National Security and Investment’ White Paper, published for consultation on 24 July 2018, sets out how the Government proposes to reform its powers in the long term to protect national security from potential adversaries using ownership or significant influence or control over businesses in ways that harm UK national security. Consultation on the White Paper closed on 16 October and the Government will announce next steps in due course.</p><p> </p><p>In the short term, on 11 June 2018 the Government amended the Enterprise Act 2002 to introduce measures enabling Ministers to scrutinise mergers in the economy on national security grounds that previously fell outside the scope of the Act.
