answer text <p>The OECD Development Assistance Committee (DAC) has made a proposal on valuing donations of COVID-19 vaccines in 2021. Discussions are ongoing between DAC members, and within government. As yet, there is no consensus amongst DAC members. answer text <p>COVAX accepted 10 million doses from the UK on the 12 November, in addition to the 10 million doses accepted on 26 October. Of these, 5.2 million have since been delivered to recipients, a further 7.8 million are with COVAX for allocation and distribution, and 7 million will be delivered to COVAX directly from Astra Zeneca in the coming weeks. In addition, 235,000 doses have been delivered to recipients bilaterally since 1 November.</p> more like this

answer text <p>COVAX accepted 10 million doses from the UK on 26 October. 3.5 million of these doses were delivered before 1 November for allocation and distribution. Prior to 1 September, COVAX had accepted and distributed most of the 6.2 million doses donated by the UK. The final 969,600 were delivered between 1 September and 1 November. The UK also delivered 245,000 doses bilaterally in this timeframe.</p> more like this

answer text <p>The cost of COVID-19 vaccine donations for 2021 has been additional to the Official Development Assistance (ODA) budget set out at the 2020 Spending Review (SR20) for 2021-22, but is expected to remain within 0.5% of Gross National Income (GNI) given the growth in GNI forecasts since SR20.</p><p>Departmental ODA budgets are increasing significantly over the Spending Review period due to forecast growth in GNI. SR21 fully covers the cost of vaccine donations to meet the Prime Minister's commitment on donating 100 million surplus doses by June 2022 as part of the G7 dose-sharing commitments to drive an intensified effort to vaccinate the world by 2022.</p> more like this

This is a global goal, and a milestone towards achieving Sustainable Development Goal 4 by 2030. The enrolment data used is for girls of primary and lower-secondary school age living in low and lower-middle income countries.
