answer text <p>As the Justice Secretary said in June, we have a two nation justice system at present. Those who have benefitted financially need to do more to protect access to justice for all and we are discussing with the profession how this can be taken forward.</p><p> </p><p>As the Lord Chief Justice made clear in his annual report, the investment the Government is making to modernise our courts and tribunals is a significant step, and one which will enable us to tackle many of the issues he identified.</p><p> </p> more like this

answer text <p>The Home Office has made no specific assessment of the number of crimes committed by people with gambling problems.</p><p>The most recent crime statistics published by the Office for National Statistics showed that overall crime fell by 8% in the year to June 2015, according to the Crime Survey for England and Wales. Crime has now fallen by more than a quarter since June 2010, with just over 2.9 million fewer crimes a year.</p><p>It is for Chief Constables and Police and Crime Commissioners to decide crime priorities at a local level, and the most appropriate response in their areas.</p> more like this

answer text <p>The College of Policing delivers the fast track and direct entry programmes. According to its data, seven external officers and 25 internal officers started the fast track programme with the Metropolitan Police in September. There were 1,952 applicants for the 2015 external fast track programme, of which 421 were to the Metropolitan Police. The public need to have confidence that police officers have been subject to extensive vetting before they join, and it is for individual forces to make decisions on recruitment.</p> more like this
