answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 18/11/2015 answer text <p>The Home Office has made no specific assessment of the number of crimes committed by people with gambling problems.</p><p>The most recent crime statistics published by the Office for National Statistics showed that overall crime fell by 8% in the year to June 2015, according to the Crime Survey for England and Wales. According to its data, seven external officers and 25 internal officers started the fast track programme with the Metropolitan Police in September. There were 1,952 applicants for the 2015 external fast track programme, of which 421 were to the Metropolitan Police.
