answer text <p>The Government condemns the attacks in Ankara on 13 March and in Istanbul on 19 March. The UK stands in solidarity with Turkey, a NATO ally and valued partner for the UK. As noted in our travel advice, the threat from terrorism remains high, with the Kurdish separatist PKK, Daesh and other terrorist organisations continuing to plan and carry out attacks. The UK condemns terrorism in all its forms, and is clear that PKK terrorist attacks must end. We welcome Turkey’s invaluable contribution to the international campaign against Daesh as a member of the Global Coalition committed to defeating it.</p> more like this

answer text <p>The Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) contracts out the guarding of its UK estate to Servest, under the terms of the Crown Commercial Services framework. Servest are responsible for setting the rates of pay for their staff and have informed the FCO that the current minimum rate for Security Officers is £8.69 and the maximum rate is £15.92 per hour.</p> more like this

answer text <p>The Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) contracts out cleaning services relating to the FCO's UK estate to Interserve as part of its facilities management contract. Interserve are responsible for setting rates of pay for their staff. They have informed the FCO that they currently pay £7.04 per hour to staff for cleaning the FCO’s buildings.</p><p>The National Living Wage will come into effect on 1 April and all employers, including Interserve, will be required to pay all staff, aged 25 years and above a minimum of £7.20 per hour.</p> more like this
