answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 21/12/2017 answer text <p>In 2015, we introduced new, more stringent measures on our Tier 1 (Investor) route before applicants can invest in the UK. These changes ensure that migrants are subjected to stronger due diligence and anti-money laundering checks before they are granted a visa. We also doubled the minimum required investment and removed a provision which allowed migrants to invest money which had been obtained through loans. Customer feedback, including complaints, are taken into account to ensure we offer value for money; which includes improving the services we offer, the quality of the decisions we make, and the provision of an excellent customer service.</p><p>More widely, we have assurance regimes which aim to increase consistent quality and identify good and weak practice within the department.
