In 2021, trade between the UK and Zimbabwe was £126 million. The UK-Eastern and Southern Africa (ESA) Economic Partnership Agreement signed in 2020 ensures Zimbabwean companies continue to enjoy duty free and quota free exports to the UK. This agreement means shoppers in the UK can continue to enjoy Zimbabwean products like blueberries, peas and tea. The Minister for Africa met with Foreign Minister Shava and Finance Minister Ncube in London on 30<sup>th</sup> June and discussed political and economic issues including trade and investment. The Minister for Africa noted that the UK would like to see Zimbabwe reach arrears clearance, and that this can happen if Zimbabwe successfully completes an IMF Staff Monitored Programme and makes reasonable progress on political reform. Hon. Friend the Prime Minister and the President of the United State agreed to continue working towards a future Free Trade Agreement.</p><p> </p><p>In December 2021, my Rt. Hon. Friend the Secretary of State for International Trade travelled to the US to bolster UK-US trade ties, support increased transatlantic trade and investment, and build on our shared interests and priorities with the US.</p><p> </p><p>During my visit in December, I held productive meetings with Governors, Mayors, Commissioners, and business leaders. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 01/11/2021 answer text <p>We have not yet signed a Free Trade Agreement with New Zealand but we did reach Agreement in Principle (AIP) on Wednesday 27th October. My officials have been holding discussions with the Devolved Administrations through the entire negotiation and were in constant contact in the run up to AIP. My predecessor, Minister Hands, spoke to the Welsh Government on a number of occasions to update them on progress in negotiations with New Zealand, most recently at the Ministerial Forum for Trade on the 14<sup>th</sup> July. We offered meetings to all DAs in advance of the AIP for NZ being announced. The Welsh government accepted a meeting but the Minister was then not able to attend.
