Member to the oral statement made by my Rt Hon friend the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster on 27 February 2020 (<a href="https://hansard.parliament.uk/Commons/2020-02-27/debates/779EF8F4-67B0-4CD2-90E0-37DC33CAD528/EuropeanUnionFutureRelationship" target="_blank">Official Record, Vol.672 Col.467-470</a>)</p><p>The Government will ensure that representatives from the Northern Ireland Executive are invited to be part of the UK delegation in meetings of the UK-EU Specialised or Joint Committees discussing Northern Ireland specific matters which are also being attended by the Irish Government as part of the European Union’s delegation.</p><p>My Rt. Hon. Friend the Prime Minister has been clear in his statement given on 19 October 2019 (<a href="https://hansard.parliament.uk/commons/2019-10-19/debates/8C3F5267-8186-4536-83EC-56E3C88DCC8E/PrimeMinister%E2%80%99SStatement" target="_blank">Official Record, Vol. 666, Col. 570-572</a>) that Northern Ireland remains part of the UK customs territory.</p>

answer text <p>The Alternative Arrangements Technical Advisory Group met on the 20th June, 17th July and 12th September 2019.</p><p>The Alternative Arrangements Business and Trade Union Advisory Group met on 26th June, 10th July and 29th August 2019.</p><p>The new Protocol on Ireland / Northern Ireland in the Withdrawal Agreement which was agreed with the EU on the 17th October 2019 and ratified by the UK on the 23rd January 2020 ensures the whole of the UK will be a single customs territory outside the EU Customs Union. answer text <p>Quantum computing; 5G technologies and artificial intelligence are all areas which offer significant economic opportunities to the UK, as well as risks to our national cyber security that need to be managed.</p><p>Our development of Quantum Computing is funded by combined public and private investment through the UK’s ten year National Quantum Technologies Programme (NQTP).</p><p>Our current National Cyber Security Strategy (2016-2021) is delivering transformational change, building new capabilities and intervening to address the cyber threat.
