<p>The Department for Transport intends to set out the outcomes we want from the rail
network in Control Period 6 (CP6 – 2019 to 2024) during the remainder of 2017, following
on from the High Level Output Specification (HLOS) that was published in July.</p><p>
</p><p>The work of the Peninsula Rail Task Force, which includes aspirations for line
speed increases between Exeter and Plymouth, continues to be a valuable part of the
process for defining our priorities for investment after 2019.</p>
