answer text
No specific guidance has been issued to clinical commissioning groups (CCGs) on releasing local COVID-19 vaccination data. National Health Service vaccination services use the National Immunisation Management System (NIMS) for recording and reporting vaccination data. Data is drawn from NIMS to create the published daily and weekly vaccination numbers and updates which is available at the following links:

https://coronavirus.data.gov.uk/details/vaccinations

https://www.england.nhs.uk/statistics/statistical-work-areas/covid-19-vaccinations/

The weekly data includes vaccinations at various local and regional levels, including by CCG and parliamentary constituency.
more like this

answer text
Based on advice from the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI), children aged under 16 years old, including those with Down’s Syndrome, are not included for routine vaccination. Overall, there is a relatively low risk to children from COVID-19 and very limited existing data on vaccination in adolescents, with no data on vaccination in younger children. The evidence does not yet support recommending children should be routinely vaccinated. However, the JCVI’s current advice is that only those children at very high risk of exposure and serious outcomes, such as older children with severe neuro-disabilities that require residential care, should be offered vaccination.

Decisions on vaccination, including for COVID-19, are ultimately for the clinician leading on an individual’s care. The JCVI advises that where vaccination is considered for someone under 16 years old, clinicians should discuss the risks and benefits of vaccination with a person with parental responsibility.

answer text
The Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation’s (JCVI) advice on priority groups for COVID-19 vaccination is based on a range of evidence and assessments, including a review of UK epidemiological data on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic so far and data on demographic and clinical risk factors for mortality and hospitalisation from COVID-19. To date, having severe allergic conditions alone has not been identified as a condition that would place an individual at increased clinical risk to COVID-19.
more like this

answer text
The Secretary of State for Health and Social Care has had a number of discussions with Cabinet colleagues on prioritisation for COVID-19 vaccination.

The Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI) are the independent experts who advise the Government on which vaccine/s the United Kingdom should use and provide advice on who should be offered the vaccination first. The key principles are to reduce mortality, to protect the health and care systems and save lives. For the first phase, the JCVI has advised that the vaccine be given to care home residents and staff, as well as frontline health and social care workers, then to the rest of the population in order of age and clinical risk factors.

Prioritisation decisions for the next phase are subject to surveillance and monitoring data and information from phase one, as well as further input from independent scientific experts such as the JCVI. Phase two may include further reduction in hospitalisation and targeted vaccination of those at high risk of exposure and/or those delivering key public services.
