These ULT freezers were in place, commissioned and ready to receive vaccine prior to the commencement of the programme at the beginning of December 2020. The ULT freezers are for PHE to manage the national storage of COVID-19 vaccines which require storage at -70°C. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 26/01/2021 answer text <p>The Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI) are the independent experts who advise the Government on which vaccines the United Kingdom should use and provide advice on prioritisation at a population level.  For the first phase, the JCVI have advised that the vaccine be given to care home residents and staff, as well as frontline health and social care workers, then to the rest of the population in order of age and clinical risk factors.</p><p> </p><p>Those who are in receipt of a carer’s allowance, or those who are the main carer of an elderly or disabled person whose welfare may be at risk if the carer falls ill, should also be offered vaccination in priority group six. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 25/01/2021 answer text <p><br>Public Health England is monitoring the impact of COVID-19 vaccines on a broad range of outcomes including symptomatic disease, infection and hospitalisations as set out in the COVID-19 vaccine surveillance strategy</p><p>Vaccine effectiveness assessments are reported regularly to the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI) to inform vaccine policy recommendations. This will include assessment of vaccine effectiveness in immunocompromised individuals using general practice’s electronic health record data. In addition, senior clinicians are giving media interviews and taking part in live question and answer sessions with the public about COVID-19 vaccines.</p><p> </p><p>Senior clinicians, Ministers and officials are also holding regular briefing sessions with stakeholders, medical charities, faith groups and black, Asian and minority ethnic (BAME) community leaders about the vaccines authorised for use.</p><p>Additionally, the Government is sponsoring content on social media channels and a range of news media outlets to provide information and advice to communities across the country. This includes targeted information and advice via TV, radio and social media, translated into 13 languages.
