answer text <p>The ‘benefits realisation’ requirements of the HS2 rolling stock procurement requires the successful tenderer to achieve a number of skills, education and employment objectives including items such as apprenticeship and graduate recruitment in addition to supporting the National College for High Speed Rail in Birmingham and Doncaster. It also requires the successful tenderer to promote supply chain opportunities to the wider supply chain across the UK including new entrants and SMEs. Tenderers’ plans for delivering the ‘benefits realisation’ requirements are assessed in Stage 4 of HS2’s tender evaluation model.</p> more like this

answer text <p>The Inclusive Transport Strategy sets out the Government’s plans for delivering a genuinely inclusive transport network for disabled and older people. Key funding announcements made from the public purse include:</p><p> </p><ul><li>Up to £300m to extend the Access for All programme to make railway stations in Great Britain more accessible;</li></ul><p> </p><ul><li>£2 million to install Changing Places toilets at motorway service stations in England, supporting disabled people to travel easily and comfortably on the road network;</li></ul><p> </p><ul><li>The provision of further support for the rollout of audio-visual announcements across the bus sector through the launch of a new £2m fund to help smaller bus operators comply with planned Accessible Information Regulations and so ensure that passengers across Great Britain will know where and when to alight;</li></ul><p> </p><ul><li>A £2 million passenger awareness campaign to increase disability awareness and reduce hate crime on the network; and</li></ul><p> </p><ul><li>Continued funding for Mobility Centres which offer clinical expertise and professional high quality information, advice and assessment to people who need to gain or retain independence through mobility.</li></ul><p><strong> </strong></p><p>This funding is in addition to the activities which will be funded directly by transport operators as part of their delivery of the Inclusive Transport Strategy.</p><p> </p>

Southern and Southeastern Train Operating Companies will be responsible for nominating individual stations in Dulwich and West Norwood.</p> more like this

answer text <p>At a Westminster Hall Debate last year, the Rt Hon John Hayes MP announced the formation of a Task and Finish group to consider any taxi and private hire regulatory issues, their causes and potential remedies. The group’s remit includes considering the use and effectiveness of powers currently available to licensing authorities.</p><p> </p><p>The Group has now submitted its report and Ministers are considering the recommendations made.
