answer text
The Department for Exiting the European Union, working with officials across government, continues to undertake a wide range analysis of the UK economy and regulations, to inform the UK’s position for the upcoming negotiations with EU partners. We want the best possible arrangement for trade in goods and services with the EU, and are considering how our legislation can facilitate that. We are not going to speculate on what that looks like at this stage. We aren’t seeking to replicate any other model: we want a bespoke approach, which works for the UK, and the UK will seek to maintain its position as a global leader in product development, consumer rights and environmental protection as we leave the EU.
more like this
