answer text
We engage regularly with our US partners on a range of issues related to Yemen, including the humanitarian situation. We work closely with them in support of a stable, secure Yemen which poses no threat to regional countries or beyond. The US, together with Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and the UN Special Envoy for Yemen, participated in a Ministerial meeting we convened on 22 September in the margins of the UN General Assembly. All participants acknowledged the dire humanitarian situation in Yemen and agreed that more must be done to achieve a political solution. The Foreign Secretary raised the situation in Yemen with US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson most recently on 9 October. Any further enquiries relating to US policy should be redirected to the US authorities.
more like this

answer text
Support for international criminal justice and accountability is a fundamental element of UK foreign policy. International courts and tribunals, including the International Criminal Court, have an important role to play in global efforts to end impunity for the most serious crimes of international concern by holding perpetrators to account and achieving justice for victims. The institutions report regularly on their activities and publish up-to-date details of convictions and sentences on their publicly accessible websites. The Government does not intend to publish a summary of such information at this time.
more like this

answer text
The UK Government regularly raises with the Government of Israel concerns about the situation for Palestinians in East Jerusalem, the West Bank and Gaza, and pushes for an easing of restrictions. We are firmly committed to the promotion and protection of human rights, and call upon all parties to abide by International Humanitarian Law. Ultimately peace will only come through fresh negotiations between the parties, which the UK fully supports, and it is critical that Israel and the Palestinians take advantage of any momentum gathered through international efforts.
more like this

We repeatedly call on Israel to abide by its obligations under international law and have a regular dialogue with Israel on legal issues relating to the occupation.
more like this

The Foreign Secretary discussed the importance we attach to safeguarding the rights of all Pakistan's citizens during his visit to Pakistan in November 2016.

The former Minister for Asia and the Pacific, my hon. Friend the Member for Reading West (Mr Sharma), raised the protection of minorities with Kamran Michael, former Minister for Human Rights, and Barrister Zafarullah Khan, former Prime Minister's Special Assistant for Human Rights, during a visit to Pakistan in January 2017.

While we have not raised the 2014 Supreme Court judgement specifically, we have encouraged the implementation of the National Action Plan on Human Rights, which includes the establishment of an independent National Commission for Minorities. We continue to press Pakistan to take the steps necessary to ensure it complies in full with its human rights obligations and that the rights of all its citizens, including minorities, are respected.

Class 387 electric trains replace diesel commuter trains in the Thames Valley. They are brand new trains built by Bombardier to the most modern standards, including in respect of lighting and disabled accessibility. The first are already in service on the route between Hayes & Harlington and Paddington. The other type of train is the Intercity Express, which replaces diesel trains on the long-distance routes from Paddington. answer text
The Government is firmly committed to bringing vulnerable unaccompanied refugee children from Europe to the UK, as underpinned by the Immigration Act 2016. Over 20 children who meet the criteria in the Immigration Act have been accepted for transfer from Europe since Royal Assent, the majority of whom have already arrived in the UK.

We are in active discussions with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, UNICEF and Non-Governmental Organisations in addition to the Italian, Greek and French governments to strengthen and speed up mechanisms to identify, assess and transfer children who meet the criteria to the UK where this in their best interests.

As is required by the Immigration Act 2016, we are consulting with local authorities to confirm available capacity and to ensure appropriate support systems are in place.

We cannot put a fixed number on arrivals at this point. The legislation is clear that consultation with local authorities is needed before any figure is set. It is vital that their capacity and ability to help is taken into account. We must also ensure that we are able to continue to fulfil our obligations to children who are already in the UK.
