That is why, through the ten-year Drugs Strategy, we are investing up to £145m over three years in our successful County Lines Programme. Since November 2019 police activity funded by the County Lines Programme has closed over 2,400 lines, made over 8,000 arrests, and engaged over 9,500 individuals through safeguarding interventions.</p><p>Also, through the County Lines Programme, the Home Office funds the National County Lines Co-ordination Centre (NCLCC) who have identified and are sharing best practice on ‘cuckooing’. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 04/07/2022 answer text <p>Section 156 of the Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts Act 2022 introduces a statutory aggravating factor for assaults committed against those providing a public service, performing a public duty or providing a service to the public.</p><p>The public facing nature of the victim’s role will therefore be considered an aggravating factor when it comes to sentencing for assault offences. This will send a very strong signal that assaults of this kind are totally unacceptable. This Government wants to ensure those who are serving the public can feel protected from abuse when working. The provision commenced on 28 June 2022.</p><p>The economic impact assessment for the Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts Act 2022 will be published in due course. An equality impact assessment was published on introduction of the Bill. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 29/06/2022 answer text <p>The Government recognises that misuse of off-road bikes can cause nuisance and distress to communities. The Minister for Safeguarding set out the Government’s approach to dealing with this problem in an adjournment debate on 20 June 2022. Data on the number of incidents is not held centrally.</p><p>Between May and September 2021, the Government held a consultation seeking views on new levels of fees applied to the removal and storage of vehicles under the Police Reform Act 2002 in England and Wales. The consultation also sought views on whether aspects of the regulations and legislation are adequate to provide a sustainable service for vehicle recovery. However, the consultation did not include plans to amend the Section 59 powers. We will shortly announce the next steps following our consultation.</p><p>The Government does not believe that the introduction of a mandatory registration scheme for off-road quad bikes would be the most effective way to tackle dangerous and anti-social use. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 22/06/2022 answer text <p>There are various offences relating to illegal e-scooter use that the police can enforce with a Fixed Penalty Notice (FPN): uninsured driving can result in a FPN of £300 and 6 penalty points on a driving licence; riding without a driving licence can result in a FPN of £100 and 3-6 penalty points on a driving licence; while riding on the pavement can result in a FPN of £50. The NRCSG is co-chaired by Tom Ironside, Director of Business &amp; Regulation at the British Retail Consortium and me. This is an important forum to discuss crime issues experienced by retailers and to work together to find solutions.</p><p>The Government has taken action to tackle violence and abuse by introducing a statutory aggravating factor via the Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts Act 2022.</p><p>The public facing nature of the victim’s role will be considered an aggravating factor when it comes to sentencing for assault offences. It applies where an assault is committed against those providing a public service, performing a public duty or providing a service to the public. This rightly includes those working in retail and other public-facing roles.
