answer text <p>The Government absolutely recognises the importance of post offices in East Renfrewshire, Blaydon and other communities across the UK and is committed to the Post Office network’s future.</p><p> </p><p>Government has provided a further £370 million from 2018 to 2021 to safeguard the network and invest in its future. Following this, and the new Banking Framework, postmaster pay is increasing. This has led to the most stable network in generations, with over 11,600 branches across the UK, the largest retail network in the country.</p> more like this

answer text <p>The Government is aware of concern over the impact of fireworks noise on people and animals. This is why there is already a maximum legal noise level set for fireworks.</p><p> </p><p>The Office for Product Safety and Standards (OPSS) has been working to develop a fact-based evidence base on the key issues that have been raised around fireworks which includes noise levels.</p><p> </p><p>We are receiving representations from a range of stakeholders including members of the public, organisations and charities, representing a range of views. This work will inform current and future policy in this area.</p> more like this
