answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 08/12/2022 answer text <p>The Ministry of Justice has committed to ringfenced funding to increase the number of Independent Sexual and Domestic Violence Advisors (ISVAs/IDVAs) by 300 to over 1000 by 2024/25 - a 43% increase on the number of ISVAs and IDVAs over the next three years. This builds on the funding provided in 20/21 and 21/22 to recruit c700 ISVA and IDVA posts. We are distributing this ringfenced funding to Police and Crime Commissioners (PCCs) to recruit ISVAs and IDVAs in their local areas. Recruitment for the additional 300 posts commenced in May 2022, and we are currently working closely with PCCs to track progress of this recruitment. In addition to this funding, PCCs also have discretion to use core victim support grant funding for additional ISVAs and IDVAs, based on their assessment of local need.</p><p>The MoJ has information on ISVAs and IDVAs funded from 20/21, which is when the specific ringfenced funding was introduced.</p><p>In addition, the Department has committed to supporting ISVAs and IDVAs through measures published in the draft Victims Bill. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 16/10/2020 answer text <p>The Department commissions research through the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) and is the largest public funder of health research in the United Kingdom.</p><p>The NIHR funds a range of research in maternal and neonatal health focussing on the safety of maternity and neonatal services, and the national maternity ambition to halve maternal deaths, stillbirths and neonatal deaths and brain injury by 2025.</p><p>The NIHR is not currently funding any specific research into neonatal herpes but it welcomes funding applications for research into any aspect of human health, including neonatal herpes. These applications are subject to peer review and judged in open competition, with awards being made on the basis of the importance of the topic to patients and health and care services, value for money and scientific quality. We want to reassure patients that our plans should ensure the uninterrupted supply of medicines and medical products, including those for use in the treatment of depression, once we have left the EU.</p><p>The Department, as part of our EU exit preparations, is implementing a multi-layered approach to mitigate potential disruption to supply, which consists of stockpiling where possible, securing freight capacity, changing or clarifying regulatory requirements, procuring additional warehousing, working closely with industry to improve trader readiness and putting in place the National Supply Disruption Response to manage potential shortages. We are aware that one supplier of generic agomelatine 25mg tablets discontinued supplies in July 2019. However, we can confirm that supplies of agomelatine 25mg tablets are currently available from several other suppliers in volumes that are sufficient to meet normal United Kingdom demand.
