answer text <p>Defra assesses compliance against EU air quality limit values for 43 regional zones and agglomerations across the UK. This monitoring covers five key pollutants: particulate matter (PM<sub>10</sub> and PM<sub>2.5</sub>), sulphur dioxide (SO<sub>2</sub>), ozone (O<sub>3</sub>) and nitrogen dioxide (NO<sub>2</sub>).</p><p> </p><p>Monitoring data is available up to 2015. Full compliance details for the UK since 2010 (and as far back as 2003) are available in our online Air Pollution reports. answer text <p>In line with the practice of successive administrations, details of Ministerial discussions are not routinely disclosed. Defra Ministers and officials regularly meet with their counterparts in the Department for Transport and the Department of Health to discuss a range of issues of mutual interest, including Government plans to improve air quality. The Clean Growth Inter-Ministerial Group also meets regularly and helps to coordinate and drive forward Government policy on air quality.</p><p> </p> more like this

answer text <p>The UK is meeting limit values for all pollutants covered by the Ambient Air Quality Directive other than those for nitrogen dioxide (NO<sub>2</sub>). We will continue to do more, especially to reduce levels of NO<sub>2</sub>.</p><p> </p><p>The Government will set out further measures this year, including consulting on a revised air quality plan on NO<sub>2</sub> by 24 April 2017 and publishing a final plan by 31 July 2017. The plan will set out the measures that will ensure the UK is compliant in the shortest time possible.</p><p> </p><p>In parallel, we are working to implement Clean Air Zones as quickly as possible. We are working closely with local authorities on the detailed design of the zones.</p> more like this
