answer text <p>I have visited Highland and Peeblesshire food banks. On 29 June, I attended the Scottish Parliament Welfare Reform Committee to discuss welfare related issues, including food banks. At that meeting I committed to meeting witnesses who gave evidence to the Committee and I have since met with Oxfam, The British Medical Association and Barnardo’s Scotland. answer text <p> </p><p>My evidence to the Scottish Parliament's Welfare Reform Committee on the 26 June highlighted the underlying complexity to the use of foodbanks and my desire to ensure that any further analysis be done in a way that would ensure widespread support.</p><p>The Government has already commissioned a report on food security by Warwick University, which was published in February 2014.</p><p>The Government has no immediate plans to produce or commission further research, but will keep this under review.</p><p> </p> more like this
