Crossrail Limited notified the Secretary of State of that decision on Thursday 30th August 2018. Crossrail Limited is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Transport for London.</p><p> </p><p>As reported in the Written Ministerial Statement (WMS) of 24 July 2018, the Department was aware that there were increasing challenges with regard to the project schedule and the Department was monitoring project delivery very closely. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 12/11/2018 answer text <p><strong> </strong></p><p>There are no stations that will be served by Crossrail 1 trains that have a station platform height of 1000mm or 750mm.</p><p> </p><p>The Crossrail rolling stock contract is held and managed by Transport for London (TfL), and therefore any conversations with train manufacturers regarding the specification of the Elizabeth line trains are a matter for TfL. However, Crossrail Limited have provided the Department with a summary of their findings concerning the possible use of trains with floor heights lower than 1100mm. Crossrail Limited identified significant problems that would have impacted upon the design of the train, such as a widening of the gauge profile which would result in unacceptable infringements on gauge clearances at legacy platforms.</p><p> </p><p>As the future operator of the Elizabeth line, the operating costs for stations are a matter for TfL.</p><p>Crossrail 2 is under development. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 17/05/2018 answer text <p>At the following stations on the Crossrail route the platforms will be built at a height of 1100 mm above rail level to achieve level boarding and enable full accessibility from street to train without the need for a ramp:</p><p> </p><ul><li>Paddington</li><li>Custom House</li><li>Canary Wharf</li><li>Woolwich</li><li>Bond Street</li><li>Tottenham Court Road</li><li>Farringdon</li><li>Liverpool Street</li><li>Whitechapel</li><li>Abbey Wood (Crossrail platforms only)</li></ul><p> </p><p>All other stations on the Crossrail route will have legacy platforms already in place which are at an average height of 1000mm in the eastern section and an average of 850mm in the western section. These stations will be step-free to platform level and will be staffed at all times that the trains are running, and provide a turn up and go service for anyone needing a ramp to get onto trains.</p><p> </p><p>A derogation is unnecessary as the Secretary of State for Transport issued a dispensation against the relevant notified national technical rule under regulation 46 of the Railways (Interoperability) Regulations 2011.
