This body will be referred to in legislation but it will not be a statutory body. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 10/05/2016 answer text <p>Currently the levy rate is agreed each year by the Horserace Betting Levy Board.</p><p> </p><p>Under the new model the level of contribution from betting to racing will be set by Government. We will take into account various findings when considering the rate and its duration, including the independent economic analysis that we commissioned last year. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 01/07/2015 answer text <p>We are committed to replacing the current levy system to create a level playing field for British based and offshore gambling operators.</p><p> </p><p>It has always been recognised that more work will be needed on the detailed design of a Horserace Betting Right before any legislative proposals can be brought forward. This work is now under way and is expected to be completed later this year.
