answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 31/05/2023 answer text <p>The UK is delivering on our commitment to spend £11.6 billion International Climate Finance (ICF) between financial year 2021/2022 and financial year 2025/2026, including £3 billion on development solutions that protect and restore nature. We are fully committed to ensuring that finance flows to the local level and are working on systems to increase local actors' role in development decision making. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 01/02/2023 answer text <p>At COP27, the UK and all parties agreed to establish new funding arrangements to assist developing countries that are particularly vulnerable to the adverse effects of climate change and also decided to establish a fund for responding to loss and damage. It was agreed to establish a Transitional Committee under the UNFCCC to operationalise the new arrangements and fund, including to develop recommendations for COP28.</p><p>Since the decision, the UK has actively engaged with the establishment of the Transitional Committee, including by bidding for membership of the Committee. Our Presidency year drove action and ambition with our global partners with over 90% of world GDP now covered by net zero commitments. In addition, the UK's International Climate Finance (ICF) supports developing countries to adapt to and mitigate the effects of climate change. The UK is delivering on our commitment to double ICF to £11.6 billion between 2021/22 and 2025/26, seeking balance between adaptation and mitigation funding. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 19/12/2022 answer text <p>All parties at COP27, including the UK, agreed to establish new funding arrangements for assisting developing countries that are particularly vulnerable to the adverse effects of climate change, as well as a fund for responding to loss and damage (L&amp;D). The UK recognises that more needs to be done to help countries avert, minimise and address the loss and damage they are facing.
