The Senior Railcard offers anyone 60 years or over discounts on many fares on the network and the Disabled persons railcard also entitles a carer 1/3 off their rail fares when travelling with a person holding the railcard.</p><p> </p><p>We are currently undertaking work with the Rail Delivery Group and Disabled Persons Transport Advisory Committee to review the eligibility criteria of the Disabled Persons Railcard. As part of this we will be examining how we can improve provisions for carers/support workers or companions. They are in the best position to understand and appreciate which type of vehicle to use on their bus routes, at which times during the day.</p><p> </p><p>The Government is committed to helping local bus operators to operate more environmentally friendly buses. Measures such as the Green Bus Fund, awarded £89m from 2009-2014 for over 1200 low emission buses, including both single and double-decker buses. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 03/03/2016 answer text <p>The Department for Transport does not hold details of the checks that individual local licensing authorities undertake on taxi and private hire vehicle drivers.</p><p> </p><p>All taxi and private hire vehicle drivers can be subject to an enhanced criminal record check, which includes a check of the children’s and adults barred lists, through the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 12/01/2016 answer text <p>The Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency has a complaints procedure, which is published on GOV.UK.</p><br /><p>Current law does not allow the test result to be overturned; the examiner’s decision is final.</p><br /><p>Complainants have the right to appeal if they think the examiner did not carry out their practical test in line with regulations.</p><br /><p>If the complainant lives in England and Wales, they have six months after the test date to appeal to the Magistrates court about the way the test was conducted. The Magistrates court can look at whether the test was carried out in accordance with regulations; however, it cannot change the result of the test.
