As a world leader in humanitarian crises, this is what we do best. The Iranians have not granted us access on the basis that they consider them to be Iranian nationals. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 19/10/2017 answer text <p>We are urgently seeking clarification from the Iranian authorities on reports that Mrs Zaghari-Ratcliffe is subject to further charges. I called the Iranian Ambassador to express my concerns, as did the Foreign Secretary in a call to Foreign Minister Zarif and a meeting with Vice-President Salehi on 11 October. But the scope of any additional charges remains unclear. Our Ambassador is continuing to press the Iranian authorities for further information. Iran’s position on dual-nationality makes progress on our consular cases difficult; nonetheless we continue to raise these cases with the Iranian authorities at the highest levels and at every available opportunity. We funded and facilitated the independent report on Children in Military Custody by leading British lawyers. Ministers and our Ambassador to Israel have strongly urged Israel to implement the recommendations it made. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 20/10/2017 answer text <p>As a result of the full examination of DFID’s programme in the Occupied Palestinian Territories (OPTs), the OPTs components of the following programmes are being discontinued: i) Arab Women’s Enterprise Fund, ii) Gender and Adolescents Global Evidence research programme, iii) a Development Impact Bonds pilot and, iv) evaluation work through the humanitarian educational accelerator. The Secretary of State also decided not to pursue other new bilateral programmes which were being considered. These decisions ensure that aid to the OPTs is being used in the most effective way and provides the best value for money to the UK taxpayer. I raised our concerns about the persecution of religious and ethnic minorities in Iran, including Christians, directly with my Iranian counterpart during my visit to Tehran on 5 August.
