<p>We remain concerned about Iran’s activities in the Middle East region, particularly
regarding reports of Iran's financial and military support to militant and proscribed
groups, such as Hizballah, Hamas and Palestinian rejectionist groups, and the Houthis
in Yemen. This support directly undermines prospects for regional security and lasting
peace in the region. The Foreign Secretary raised his concerns during his visit to
Iran on 9-10 December and, with respect to ballistic missile attacks on Saudi Arabia
from within Yemen, urged his Iranian counterparts to use their influence to ensure
that indiscriminate and dangerous attacks come to an end. </p>
