answer text <p>The government is aiming to carry out a consultation on the Gender Recognition Act to look at making the process of legally changing gender less bureaucratic and intrusive for transgender people.</p><p>Ahead of the consultation launch, we have been engaging with a range of stakeholders, including women’s refuges, women’s rights charities and trans rights charities to help inform the development of the consultation document.</p><p>We will also encourage women’s refuges, women’s rights charities and trans rights charities to respond to the consultation when it is launched.</p> more like this
