The Department’s latest English Housing Survey provides information on the rates
of home ownership in England. In 2014/15, home ownership stood at 64%. The Department
does not provide a breakdown of the rates of home ownership by regions or constituencies.
The Survey is available through the following link:

<a href="https://www.gov.uk/government/statistics/english-housing-survey-2014-to-2015-headline-report"

2010, over 362,000 households have been helped to purchase a home through Government
backed schemes including Help to Buy and Right to Buy. But we have not been building
enough homes as a country for decades. The Government will soon be publishing a White
Paper outlining further measures to tackle the housing shortage.
