<p>On 16 March 2017, the Secretary of State made a statement to Hon. Members [Official Report - Vol 623 col 556] that she had intervened in the proposed acquisition of Sky plc by 21st Century Fox Inc on media public interest grounds and had issued a European Intervention Notice (EIN).
