(GMC), as the independent regulator of doctors in the United Kingdom, to verify a
doctor’s professional qualifications.</p><p>All doctors must register with the GMC
to be able to practise in the UK. The GMC’s registration process includes checks of
professional qualifications.</p><p>NHS Employers advises employing organisations to
undertake professional registration and qualifications verification checks.</p>
