<p>Expenditure on Overseas Development Aid from 2015 to 2017 is as follows:</p><p>•
2015 £222m<br>• 2016 £376m<br>• 2017 £354m</p><p>The Home Office’s ODA spend is focused
on the following three areas, which contribute to the delivery of the UK’s Aid Strategy:</p><p>•
Support to asylum seekers and the resettlement of vulnerable people in the UK. This
helps pay for food, shelter and training for up to 12 months. <br>• Work upstream
in ODA countries to build capacity and capability to improve security, protect the
vulnerable and tackle modern slavery. <br>• CSSF-funded activity to tackle organised
immigration crime through the Organised Immigration Crime Taskforce, and to save lives
at sea through the deployment of Border Force vessels in the Mediterranean.</p>
