star this property answer text <p>At the end of December 2014, local authorities had identified 117,910 troubled families; all of whom were, or had been, engaged in the programme.</p><p> </p><p>As of the end of February 2015, local authorities had reported that 105,671 families had been ‘turned around’ and 10,508 of these families included a family member who had moved off out of work benefits and into work for a period of at least 13 weeks.</p><p> </p><p>My Department regularly publishes this information online. They may also be entitled to existing council tax discounts or exemptions, for example by virtue of being students or single occupiers. Local authorities have broad discretion to grant discounts to individuals or groups in other circumstances, and they may wish to consider providing support specifically to care leavers.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>Local authorities reported that there were 330 applicant households headed by 16 and 17 year olds in temporary accommodation arranged by authorities at 31 March 2015. This compares to 3,140 when this data was first collected in 2007. This is the only information reported on young people from households in temporary accommodation. No figures are held on the numbers in accommodation provided by the voluntary sector.</p> more like this
