This will include the ability of UK authors to tour in the EU, which is important to our world leading publishing industry.</p><p> </p><p>We are also working closely with the Home Office, HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) and the Department for Exiting the European Union (DExEU) to ensure that they are well informed of these issues.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>The Government is considering the Committee's report and will formally respond to its recommendations in due course. We are seeking to negotiate a trade agreement that works for all sectors of the economy, including the creative industries.</p><p> </p><p>Government has been working closely with the creative industries to understand the impacts and opportunities presented by our decision to leave the EU, as well as working with them on an early sector deal as part of the Industrial Strategy to secure the sector’s future prosperity and growth. We will continue to engage the creative industries as the UK prepares to leave the European Union and to ensure any negotiations and trade agreements best serve the UK’s national interest.</p><p> </p><p>Due to the ongoing and sensitive nature of the EU negotiations my Department does not currently have plans to publish a quarterly update on the progress and future objectives of these negotiations.</p><p> </p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>The Government is working closely with Member States and our partners in the EU institutions to negotiate the best deal for the UK and the EU. It has held discussions with the EU on the future rights of UK nationals and EU27 citizens who currently rely on the Mutual Recognition of Professional Qualifications Directive (2005/36/EC) to have their qualifications recognised after the UK leaves the EU. star this property answer text <p>The Government recognises the significant contribution generated by music and the evening economy to the UK. We have reformed entertainment licensing and planning policy guidance, making it easier for well-established music and cultural venues to operate. Government has confirmed that it will work with all Mayoral Combined Authorities and Local Enterprise Partnerships (LEPs) to develop Local Industrial Strategies, which are locally-led and agreed with Government. The national Industrial Strategy provides a policy framework against which Local Industrial Strategies will be assessed. Government recognises the value that creative industries bring to local places, and engages with LEPs in promoting the growth of these sectors through Local Industrial Strategies - for example by developing a Connected Growth Toolkit to support LEPs in designing local strategies.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>The Government takes the protection of consumers very seriously. It also supports the UK music industry and fair remuneration for artists. In the event that a company is unable to meet its contractual obligation when they fall into administration, consumers who paid for goods using their credit card are protected under section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act 1974 (CCA) and should contact their card issuing company. In some circumstances, debit card payments can be refunded through the Chargeback scheme and consumers should seek further information from their bank.</p><p>The Insolvency Agency, an executive agency of the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, acts as an impartial source of information for the public and HMG on insolvency and redundancy matters.</p><p> </p> more like this

In the next few months the important issue for us must be focussing on negotiating the right future relationship, including for audiovisual services.</p><p> </p><p>We have continued to build on recent progress by publishing jointly with the EU the topics for discussion on the future framework, which includes digital and broadcasting. This topic list incorporates the economic and security partnerships outlined by the Prime Minister, as well as the institutional framework that will underpin them and other cross-cutting issues.</p><p> </p><p>We aim to continue to make progress over the coming months and are committed to working with the broadcasting sector to understand their needs and concerns.</p> more like this
