star this property answer text <p>The Government believes it is in the best interests of business to tap into the widest talent pool and to have a diverse leadership which draws on a variety of backgrounds, skills and experiences. This is also true of Local Enterprise Partnerships (LEPs), and we have set out our expectations on this in the LEP assurance framework. Each LEP must have its own diversity statement, which sets out how boards can ensure diverse representation, reflective of their local business community. This should be used to guide local decisions on appointments to the LEP Board.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>The Companies Investigation Branch (CIB) became part of the Insolvency Service in 2006 and the work formerly undertaken by CIB is now dealt with by the Insolvency Service Company Investigations Live teams. While company investigations are focused on preventing corporate abuse by placing companies into liquidation rather than identifying criminal misconduct, if any evidence of criminal behaviour is found it may result in a prosecution.</p><p>The Insolvency Service does not maintain statistics on the number of prosecutions and fines arising specifically from the work of Company Investigations Live teams, nor are any statistics kept regarding companies operating in the secondary ticketing industry. However, there have been a total of 15 investigations in the relevant period with a reference to ‘Ticketing’, as detailed below. The name CIB is no longer in use and the work formerly undertaken by CIB is now dealt with by the Insolvency Service Company Investigations Live team.</p><p>The Insolvency Service could only supply details of funding of live investigation work for 2009-10 at a disproportionate cost. Direct costs of its live investigation work, excluding any apportionment of overhead costs, are provided below. The Insolvency Service does not keep records of the number of full-time equivalent (FTE) staff employed in each team during the course of a year. This information could only be produced at a disproportionate cost.
