We have already put in place a raft of measures to deal with the extraordinary set of circumstances brought on by the pandemic and the global economy rebounding.</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p>These include:</p><ul><li><p>increasing HGV testing capacity by 90% to help get new drivers into the sector quickly;</p></li><li><p>extending cabotage rights;</p></li><li><p>making available bootcamp places to train up to 5,000 HGV drivers, and</p></li><li><p>making available temporary visas for poultry workers and butchers.</p></li></ul><p><strong> </strong></p><p>In October, the Prime Minister appointed Sir Dave Lewis to advise HM Government on supply chains and to identify both immediate improvements and any necessary long-term changes. He has spoken with over 100 businesses from across 14 sectors since his appointment. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 29/07/2020 answer text <p>I am pleased that the Lord Chancellor has recently approved national rollout plans for pre-recorded cross examination, for Section 28 of the Youth Justice and Criminal Evidence Act 1999, for vulnerable witnesses in Crown Court centres in England and Wales.</p><p> </p><p>This plan includes a focus on rolling out Section 28 to London and the South East in the first wave in August, followed by all remaining Crown Courts in England in Wales in the autumn. The Lord Chancellor, in the recent Victims’ Code public consultation, sought views on a requirement that witness care officers inform victims of the right to request a review of a sentence, at the time of sentence. The Ministry of Justice are currently analysing the responses to the consultation and aim to publish the revised Victims’ Code later this year. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 27/06/2019 answer text <p>As set out in the Government’s recent drone consultation response on 7 January 2019, my Department is working with the Home Office and the Department for Business, Energy &amp; Industrial Strategy on product standards for drones. The European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has also published new product standards for drones which will become fully applicable by 2022. These include a mandatory requirement for drones to be fitted with geo-awareness software and being remotely identifiable before being placed on the market.</p><p>At an international level, the International Organization for Standardization is currently developing standards for drone safety and operation in which the British Standards Institution (BSI) committee members represent the UK. The proposed charge for the UK scheme balances keeping the charge for registration as low as possible with ensuring that the scheme funds itself and does not impose undue burden on the state or the taxpayer.
