star this property answer text <p>Over 9,000 people entered the ballot for the Midlands pilot of the Voluntary Right to Buy, and 6,000 of these received Unique Reference Numbers to move forward with their purchase. The Government is closely monitoring the progress of the pilot, the number of Unique Reference Numbers that are resulting in applications to buy, and the spending of the budget. There are no plans to run a second ballot – if this position changes, the Government will make an announcement.</p> more like this

We will therefore not commence provisions on matters devolved to Northern Ireland without the appropriate consents having been obtained. In the absence of a Northern Ireland Executive and fully functioning Assembly, it is not possible to achieve this consent.</p><p> </p><p>The Secretary of State for Northern Ireland is working hard to achieve the objective we all want to see - the restoration of devolved government in Northern Ireland, where locally elected, democratically accountable politicians can take decisions that affect the people of Northern Ireland.</p> more like this
