answer text <p>There are approximately 850 Service personnel across the Ministry of Defence (MOD) trained in some 40 different languages. It is not possible to provide a detailed breakdown because of the strategic and operational sensitivities surrounding them. The MOD's language requirements are met from a Departmental pool of Armed forces and civilian personnel; the Department regularly reviews its future requirements for linguists and trains its personnel accordingly.</p> more like this

answer text <p>The physical and mental wellbeing of our staff is crucially important to the Department. Whilst the Wales Office is not an employer in its own right, staff have access to all Ministry of Justice employee services that help to sustain physical and mental wellbeing, including Occupational Health and a 24 hour employee assistance helpline. In line with best practice, the Wales Office has a designated Mental Health Champion.</p><p> </p><p>We have also worked with other parts of the UK Governance Group to offer bespoke events. This year, we have delivered two week-long programmes open to all staff focused on enhancing wellbeing in the workplace.</p><p> </p> more like this

answer text <p>Morpheus will deliver a core component of the next generation of tactical Communication and Information Systems capability and will replace the in-service Bowman communications system. It will re-use those elements of the Bowman system that are still fit-for-purpose and this includes the Bowman radios in the early phase. answer text <p>Babcock is a key supplier to the Ministry of Defence and the company's relationship with the Department is managed at a strategic level through a key supplier representative. This role is currently undertaken by the Chief of Materiel (Ships) within Defence Equipment and Support, who engages with Babcock on a regular basis. Project and safety performance reviews form a significant element of these discussions.</p><p>With regards to safety, appropriate measures are in place to reduce risk and these are rigorously monitored to ensure that any emerging issues are identified and addressed.</p> more like this
