	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 08/04/2019 answer text <p>The roulette-style products launched on 1 April by two high-street bookmakers were withdrawn the following day after a warning from the Gambling Commission. The Commission is continuing to investigate the circumstances and the operators could still face regulatory action. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 04/03/2019 answer text <p>My department is responsible for Section 507b of the 1996 Education Act that states that: “every local authority in England must, so far as reasonably practicable, secure for qualifying young persons in the authority’s area access to sufficient educational and recreational activities.”</p><p> </p><p>During the last eight years no one has sought to make the case to me or my Department that any local authority is in formal breach of this duty. The guidance, which sets out how this this statutory duty could be discharged, has not been revised since 2012 and in the Civil Society Strategy published last August we committed to review it. This sets out government's vision for how it will work with and for civil society to address social challenges and create a fairer society for all. Gambling operators who advertise in the UK must comply with the advertising codes, which aim to ensure gambling advertising does not appeal particularly to children or young people or exploit vulnerable people.</p><p> </p><p>We considered advertising as part of our Review of Gaming Machines and Social Responsibility and our response set out a package of measures to strengthen protections further. These include strengthened guidance from the Committees of Advertising Practice (CAP) on protecting vulnerable people, tougher sanctions for operators who breach advertising codes and a multi-million pound safer gambling advertising campaign.</p><p> </p><p>The Industry Group for Responsible Gambling has announced that it will extend its voluntary commitment not to advertise on TV before 9pm to include advertising during sporting events. Its industry-wide code for socially responsible advertising also requires all TV adverts to feature a responsible gambling message for the duration of the advert. Sport clubs and fans must continue to embrace diversity and tackle racism whenever they encounter it. As I announced in the House on 4 February 2019, I will be bringing together football authorities and other organisations with an interest in the coming weeks, to agree what action must be taken to stamp out all forms of discrimination at sports events.</p><p> </p><p>Sport is a devolved issue but the cross-government sport strategy ‘Sporting Future: A New Strategy for an Active Nation’ seeks to ensure that access to sport is equal for all. Government is supportive of anti-racism initiatives from grassroots to elite sport, including Show Racism the Red Card and Kick It Out. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 14/02/2019 answer text <p>The Government maintains regular contact with the equine industry, including the British Horseracing Authority (BHA) and the Thoroughbred Breeders Association, to discuss the challenges and opportunities facing the racing industry when the UK leaves the EU.</p><p> </p><p>The rules for importing equines on day one in the event of no deal will remain the same in principle, so we do not anticipate that racing or competition will be significantly adversely affected. However in the event of no deal, the UK will no longer be part of the Tripartite Agreement (TPA), which is a derogation of EU law and allows streamlined movement of some horses between Ireland, France and the UK. The industry is aware of this potential change and has increased their preparations in the event that the UK leaves the EU without a deal.</p><p> </p><p>The EU is set to introduce ‘Smarter Rules for Safer Food’ in April 2021. This will streamline animal movement rules and may include the replacement of the TPA. The equine industries of France, Ireland and the UK, have proposed to the European Commission that any replacement for the TPA introduced in 2021 be extended to cover equines of a high health status from third countries. The Government is supporting this proposal, as it would allow the UK to retain the benefits of the TPA once we leave the EU. Child sexual abuse investigations and statistics are managed by the police.</p><p> </p><p>The latest figures from Operation Hydrant, which coordinates non-recent child sexual abuse and exploitation investigations concerning institutional settings, show 329 sport institutions as being on the Operation Hydrant database up to and including 30 September 2018.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>Operation Hydrant has also published separate statistics relating to non-recent child sexual abuse in football, up to and including 29 March 2018. These show that, at the time of publication, there were 849 alleged victims and 300 alleged suspects of non-recent child sexual abuse in football. These figures do not show in which years the alleged abuse took place, nor the relationship between the alleged perpetrator and victim. Since March 2018, football-related statistics have been captured in the Operation’s broader quarterly statistics.</p><p> </p><p>Ensuring that sport is a safe environment for all young people is one of my top priorities, and my department works closely with Sport England and the Child Protection in Sport Unit to strengthen provision wherever possible.
