	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 21/04/2021 answer text <p>We continue to keep the Safer Working <a href="https://www.gov.uk/guidance/working-safely-during-coronavirus-covid-19/close-contact-services" target="_blank">guidance</a> under constant review and will update the guidance in line with new scientific evidence as it arises. Public Health England (PHE) and the Health and Safety Executive have advised that there is currently no scientific evidence to support changing the Safer Working guidance in light of the new variants.</p><p> </p><p>PHE guidance states that Covid-19 spreads from person to person through small droplets, aerosols and through direct contact. Surfaces and belongings can also be contaminated with Covid-19 when people with the infection cough or sneeze or touch them. The risk of spread is greatest when people are close to each other, especially in poorly ventilated indoor spaces and when people spend a lot of time together in the same room.</p><p> </p><p>Given that client waiting areas are high traffic with frequent contact on common surface areas, we recommend not providing shared reading materials to reduce transmission risk via surface contact. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 20/09/2021 answer text <p>The Working Safely <a href="https://www.gov.uk/guidance/working-safely-during-covid-19" target="_blank">guidance</a> encourages businesses to ensure that their ventilation is adequate as a mitigation against COVID-19. We have amplified messages around ventilation through our wider engagement with businesses including regular discussions with sector bodies and meetings with business representatives.</p><p> </p><p>Health and Safety Executive (HSE) has also used existing communication routes to direct members of their Hospitality Industry Liaison Forum to their ventilation guidance. To increase messaging impact, BEIS added a link to a HSE video on ventilation to our Working Safely guidance. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 10/02/2022 answer text <p>The Department is supporting the Government’s review into retained EU Law, which will provide an authoritative assessment of where retained EU law is concentrated on the statute book and assist the consideration of future legislative requirements.
